Meet Blake Wedl

Blake Wedl brings a wealth of hands-on experience and a deep-rooted passion for service to Made in the Shade Appleton. His journey in the window treatment industry began back in 2009, working alongside his father, Scott, with Made in the Shade Wisconsin. What started as helping with sales and installations quickly grew into a full-time career and calling.

In 2014, Blake launched the Fox Valley branch, leading it to success with a focus on personalized service and expert design solutions. Fast forward to March 2025—Blake proudly took ownership of the Appleton territory, continuing his commitment to elevate homes and businesses throughout Appleton and the surrounding areas with beautiful, functional window treatments.

In addition to his professional background, Blake is a dedicated officer in the Wisconsin National Guard. His leadership experience and ongoing professional development through military service directly inform the integrity and reliability he brings to every client interaction.

Blake and his wife, Ashley—who recently joined the business full-time to manage day-to-day operations—live in Menasha, WI, with their three young children. Whether it’s a Saturday at the park, cheering from the sidelines at a soccer game, supporting Girl Scouts, or volunteering with the Wisconsin National Guard Association, family and community are always at the heart of what they do.

Outside of work, Blake enjoys laser engraving, perfecting his lawn, and escaping to the family cabin in Northern Wisconsin for quality time and a change of pace. For Blake, being his own boss means more than flexibility—it’s about building relationships and helping clients transform their spaces into something truly special.

JENNIFER KLINE

Jennifer started in the window fashions industry in 2004. While working in the window treatment business she also pursued a degree in Human Services AODA. Jennifer now has two small children and realized going back to her roots and joining Made in the Shade Blinds and More was going to be a better fit for her new family. She is thrilled to be back in the window fashions business. Jennifer’s favorite part of window fashions is listening to the customer’s wants and needs then presenting them with beautiful options they are sure to love. Jennifer has years of experience and a passion for making windows beautiful, she looks forward to assisting you with your next window treatment project.

After graduating from UW Madison, Tracey spent several years in real estate management and consulting. Partnering with Made in the Shade in the winter of 2020 is the best career decision she has made! She works in conjunction with clients to pick out treatments that fit their needs for light control and privacy that also enhance features of the home. ASHLEY WEDL

BUSINESS MANAGER 
Ashley joined Made in the Shade in March 2025 and quickly became the organizational powerhouse behind the scenes. With a knack for multitasking and a talent for keeping things running smoothly, she handles everything from scheduling and logistics to behind-the-scenes coordination. Think of her as part boss, part planner, part problem-solver—and the glue that holds the team together.

If there’s a spreadsheet involved, Ashley’s on top of it. Fueled by coffee and powered by precision, she ensures every client’s experience is seamless from start to finish.
