Meet Blake Wedl

Blake Wedl brings a wealth of hands-on experience and a deep-rooted passion for service to Made in the Shade Appleton. His journey in the window treatment industry began back in 2009, working alongside his father, Scott, with Made in the Shade Wisconsin. What started as helping with sales and installations quickly grew into a full-time career and calling.
In 2014, Blake launched the Fox Valley branch, leading it to success with a focus on personalized service and expert design solutions. Fast forward to March 2025—Blake proudly took ownership of the Appleton territory, continuing his commitment to elevate homes and businesses throughout Appleton and the surrounding areas with beautiful, functional window treatments.
In addition to his professional background, Blake is a dedicated officer in the Wisconsin National Guard. His leadership experience and ongoing professional development through military service directly inform the integrity and reliability he brings to every client interaction.
Blake and his wife, Ashley—who recently joined the business full-time to manage day-to-day operations—live in Menasha, WI, with their three young children. Whether it’s a Saturday at the park, cheering from the sidelines at a soccer game, supporting Girl Scouts, or volunteering with the Wisconsin National Guard Association, family and community are always at the heart of what they do.
Outside of work, Blake enjoys laser engraving, perfecting his lawn, and escaping to the family cabin in Northern Wisconsin for quality time and a change of pace. For Blake, being his own boss means more than flexibility—it’s about building relationships and helping clients transform their spaces into something truly special.

Whether she’s helping clients find the perfect window treatments for their home or keeping schedules, logistics, and team coordination running smoothly, Ashley is always ready to make things happen. She has a knack for multitasking and a passion for making the entire process feel seamless and stress-free.
With an eye for design and a love for organization, Ashley works closely with clients to understand their style, needs, and vision, helping them find window treatment solutions that are both beautiful and functional. And yes—if there’s a spreadsheet involved, she’s probably already on top of it.
Fueled by coffee, creativity, and a serious attention to detail, Ashley is dedicated to making sure every client feels confident and cared for from the initial consultation to the final installation. She’s proud to be part of a team that makes transforming your windows into a simple, enjoyable experience.
ADRIANA PANELLA
OFFICE ASSISTANT
Adriana Panella joined the Made in the Shade team in April 2026 as our Office Assistant. She helps keep the office organized and running smoothly, providing support wherever it’s needed and helping make sure the day-to-day details are taken care of behind the scenes.
Adriana brings a diverse background in administrative work and security, which she continues to pursue outside of Made in the Shade. Her experience, attention to detail, and dependable nature make her a valuable part of our team.
When she’s not working, Adriana enjoys reading, baking, working out, and watching movies. She especially loves spending time with her friends and family. Whether she’s keeping things organized at the office or enjoying time with the people she loves, Adriana brings a positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever she goes.
